The Royal Aeronautical Society is a UK based world wide organization with divisions and branches in New Zealand, Australia, the USA, Europe, South Africa, Pakistan and Zimbabwe. The Society was founded in the UK in 1866. It is the oldest aeronautical society in the world and has evolved into a global focal point for the entire aerospace community.
The RAeS is a learned society and is the professional body for the aviation and aerospace industries. Professional membership is available to those working in aviation and aerospace. This website provides information on the activities of the society in New Zealand for

Further Society branches have in recent years been established in Seattle, Washington DC, Montreal, Perth (Australia), Singapore, Toulouse, Munich, Malta, Brussels, and the Isle of Man.

Air Transport Course Update
The Air Transport Course developed by the New Zealand RAeS Division will now be run on a biennial basis. The next course is planned for late 2009, an update will be provided in late May 09.
